GSD-FRTS console is capable of detecting fever and recognising a person as they walk towards the GSD-FRTS at a distance of 0.5 meters. GSD-FRTS can be connected to the Access control system which can activate/open the door/gate connected to it depending on the access rights.Our face detection and temperature screening module is capable of detecting a person even if face mask / covering is on, provided the feature is turned on. Mounting the system on the access control pathway / door entrance facilitates the automated fever detection and alerts instantaneously. Based on the advice of the World Health Organisation (WHO) masks should be used as part of a comprehensive strategy of measures to suppress the transmission of virus and save lives. The use of masks alone is not sufficient to provide an adequate level of protection against COVID-19. You should also maintain a social distance from others, frequently clean your hands and avoid touching your face and mask. Mask detection is a feature on the GSD-FRTS that can be easily enabled/disabled based on company policy.

As highlighted by the World Health Organisation (WHO) Thermal Screening is effective in detecting people who have a fever (i.e. have a higher than normal body temperature). WHO recommends seeking medical assistance if you register a temperature above 37.3 degrees C. Thermal Screening or Thermal Cameras cannot detect people who are infected with COVID-19. Thermal Screening will detect a person with a raised temperature, one of the symptoms of COVID-19.
